If this is the first time you've started Outlook skip to the section labeled 'Internet Connection Wizard'. However, if this is not the first time you've started it, you will have to begin the process manually. Starting the Internet Connection Wizard Manually Click on the 'Tools' Menu bar selection. Click on 'Accounts'. You will then be prompted with a dialog box. Click on the 'Mail' tab. In the white box, you will see a list of all the email accounts set up in Outlook. Now click 'Add', then the 'Mail' sub-selection. Now the 'Internet Connection Wizard' will begin. Internet Connection Wizard The first option will prompt you for your name. Enter your first & last name, then click 'Next'. This next option will prompt you for your email address. Enter the full email address you would like to receive mail from. Click 'Next'. You will now be prompted for your Email server names. Your exact server names were specified in your initial Active-Sites email. If you no longer have the email, your mail server names will be in the format of domain.com. Click 'Next' after entering both your incoming (pop3) & outgoing (smtp) servers. INCOMING, POP3: [ Your Domain Name ] OUTGOING, SMTP: [ Your Domain Name ] Internet Mail Logon, the next to last step, prompts you for your account name & password. Enter your FULL EMAIL ADDRESS for your account name. Enter the password you specified for this specified email account, & make sure the 'Remember password' radio box is checked. This last step determines whether you want outlook to make a connection to the internet for you. The most common selection is 'Connect using my local area network (LAN)'. This will tell Outlook to assume you are already connected to the internet whenever you attempt to check your email. Click 'Next', & then 'Finish'. You will now have your email account ([ Your Domain Name ]) listed in the white box. Click 'Close'. That's it! Whenever you want to receive email, just click on 'Send & Receive'. |
